A bit of History – Once known as the “Jam Jar bar” our pub was actually donated to the Aultbea Hotel after the Second World War. The name came about due to the influx of visiting troops and a lack of glasses – not wanting to go without their ale they brought along jam jars to ensure a good night could still be had.
And Now – We’re a little less spit & sawdust and a wee bitty more Malbec and Jazz… but we still serve great locally brewed real ale and love a blether across the bar.
You’re bound to find the log burner chugging away on most days (and the Fat Whippet hogging the best seat) and we serve a nice little bar menu in the afternoons and evening.
Oh and if you don’t drink- we also serve the best coffee in the Highlands! You’re welcome.
Open Monday – Sunday 11am – 11pm
Lunch 12pm – 2pm
Evening meals 6pm – 8pm
